SWAD (Small-Arms Fire Warning and Direction) is a passive electro-optical system which provides warning upon detection of fire shot from small caliber arms. It provides the source of fire direction.
SWAD is composed of an array of a Wide Field Of View (WFOV) high frame-rate IR sensors, capable of able to detect multiple small arms fire sources simultaneously, day and night, at long ranges, and with high direction accuracy.
Verified fire source data is then reported in real-time, to friendly forces snipers in order to close the sensor-to-shooter loop quickly and efficiently
