Tadlran SpectralInk's advanced PRC-434G/SV (Small Version) transceiver is a small but powerful long-survival Personal Survival Radio (PSR) that provides a complete solution for military or paramilitary applications in combat and peacetime environments. With its embedded GPS receiver, large LCD display, and state-of-theart electronics, the PRC-434G/SV assures precise global positioning, easy navigation and extensive Interrogatable two-way messaging. Fully back compatible with all previous ASARS versions and interoperable with airborne systems such as ARS-700, ARS-700G, and other NATO SAR systems, the PRC-434G/SV provides essential, quick and accurate location and rescue information for searching alrcrews and land forces.
Ease Of Operation, Versatility, Sophistication
The PRC 434G/SV is especially designed to operate effectively under severe conditions. Automatic activation on pilot ejection and simple, one handed operation make the Personal Survival Radio unit effective even if the survivor is injured or unconscious. Automatic response to airborne unit interrogation, coupled with the exceptionally long battery life, means that regardless of survivor condition, you'll get the information you need to do the job, even in the most difficult terrain.
The PSR can also be activated manually, for communication with the searching aircrew or with other PSRs. Text communication selected out of 40 canned messages, Qr standard coordinates, can be transmitted or received in one short burst, adding to the intrinsic Low Probability of Detection/Intercept (LPD/I). Using the data from the GPS receiver and LCD, the operator can easily navigate along 40
programmable way polnts.
Benefits From Operational Experience
A long life, large capacity LlMnO2 battery pack, provides extended operation capability. A battery monitoring circuit, embedded in the battery pack, includes a 'fuel gauge' alerting the operator about the remaining capacity or hours of operation. A Beacon mode allows for operation with non-SAR equipped aircraft. In addition the ASARS Airborne Search and Rescue System the best Combat SAR system available Tadlran Spectrallnk also developed and produces the AN/PRC-149 and AN/URT-140 radio beacons for peacetime applications. The purchased in the thousands by the US Navy; the upgraded have been AN/PRC-112D, purchased by the US ARMY, and the new AN/PRC-112E with embedded GPS.
