The NS-9003A-V2/9005A-V2 is an integrated naval ESM/ECM suite
designed to enhance ship survivability by creating an electromagnetic
defense shield. The NS-9003A-V2/9005A-V2, a 4th generation system,
implements Elisra's extensive experience in designing, manufacturing
and commissioning naval EW systems for the Israeli Navy and foreign
navies. The NS-9003A-V2/9005A-V2 receives and identifies over-the-horizon signals with a 100% probability of intercept. Instantaneous frequency and DF measurements are performed on a per-pulse basis.
Sophisticated signal processing algorithms enable the NS-9003A-V2/9005A-V2 to operate in a dense electromagnetic environment. Special techniques are used to intercept and analyze exotic signals such as: chirp, frequency hopping, staggered PRF, etc. Upon identification of a threat, the system alerts the operator by activating audio and visual alarms. ECM response is activated automatically.
"Tailored" transmission techniques are used to counter each specific threat.
The ECM response is generated by an advanced Techniques Generator,
a Low Power Exciter and a High Power Multi Beam Array Transmitter -
MBAT.
The ECM system architecture enables simultaneous engagement of
multiple enemy missiles as well as other threats.
The NS-9003A-V2/9005A-V2 provides many advanced tactical ELINT
features such as: PRF analysis, frequency profile analysis, radar scan
pattern analysis, emitter signals video display, etc. Recording facilities
are provided to store and replay the electromagnetic environment data
for subsequent analysis.
The NS-9003A-V2/9005A-V2 is fully integrable and interoperable with
other on-board systems, such as: command and control, chaff/flare
launchers, hard-kill weapons, fire control systems, radars, navigation
system, etc.
The NS-9003A-V2/9005A-V2 is operated by a single operator console or
operated from the user multi function console via LAN. It comprises
various types of display: graphic situation, alphanumeric and optional
video. The Human-Machine Interface (HMI) is Windows based, with task
oriented menus, toolbars, windows, general purpose keyboards, track
ball and provides an easy and user-friendly systems operation.
Extensive BIT capabilities enable on-line monitoring of the systems during
normal operation, and off-line fault location for repair at the LRU/SRU
level. |
