Products lines / Spectrum Control / FMS – Fixed Monitoring Station

The baseline FMS performs signal measurements, occupancy measurements and Direction Finding (DF) determinations in V/UHF frequency range (20 MHz to 3000 MHz). As an option, the frequency range of the monitoring tasks can be extended to cover the HF band starting from 300 kHz (or lower frequency if required with special antenna) and up to 20 MHz by using a special HF antenna.
The FMS can be operated without operator’s intervention (except for maintenance tasks) and is remotely controlled by a Control Center, or in a manned mode as part of a system or a stand-alone station.
In the remote mode all task are governed and monitored by the Control Center through the communication network connections (telephone-type dial-up wire line WAN, or Cellular network). The FMS performs the tasks and sends the results back to the Control Center upon request.

The FMS main functions are:

• Frequency measurement

• Field intensity measurement

• Occupancy measurement

• Bandwidth measurement

• Modulation measurement

• Direction finding

• Audio recording and playback

The Fixed Monitoring Station (FMS) can be installed in an existing building or in a shelter that can be moved to another location.

Antennas’ tower is located nearby with typical height of 30-meters (the exact height is determined according to the site characteristics).
