The new generation Active Man-Pack Transceiving System (AMTS) is a man-portable environmentally protected unit for tele-operational of multiple task mobile Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) or Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs) deployed for Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting
Acquisition (RSTA). The innovative rugged, all-digital intelligence system, enables Operators to make fast, accurate mission-critical decisions based on complete situation awareness. By remotely providing this integrated functionality via a digital radio frequency (RF) link, the AMTS greatly reducing operators’ risk of exposure to the enemy.
The AMTS contains a control device, video display and advanced electronics. It receives and processesreal-time video images and telemetry data arriving from a variety of ground platforms, displays video
and data output for storage and dissemination on its advanced
hand-held Operator Control Unit (OCU). The OCU enables operators full command and control of the driving/flight and payload functions of the selected vehicle, and provides PANIC STOP for mission safety. The AMTS receives audio and selects video inputs from the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) as well as controlling UAVs according to predefined flight paths (Way Points). The AMTS gives the operator virtually the same degree of control as if sitting in the driver's/pilot’s seat.
